To people who love to record themselves during sex, why?

I just don't get it. My sister's brother in law is apparently fond of recording him and his wife boning. One night, unfortunately, someone broke into their house and took some of their things including his laptop containing their intimate videos. We haven't found it uploaded to the internet yet, but the shame the couple is currently going through now that the entire family knew about their naughty love projects is, for the lack of a better word, embarrassing. What do you think about filming your intimate moments? Why do some people love it?

There's nothing we can really do about it if both parties are fine with it. The only time that we have a say on that is if and when it was recorded with one or both of them don't have any knowledge of it
